The innovated Fults Tailpiece has not been an overnight creation.
Experimental work in the design of the tailpiece to create the right tones has been going on for over a decade.

As a machinist for over 50 years, Bob Fults, owner of Fults Tooling, has been a leader in building precision parts to the highest standard of excellence.
Bob has always loved the sound of the banjo and for 35 years has been fascinated by its mechanical structure.

It was this fascination and experimentation with ways of producing new and different sounds on the banjo that led to the development of the Fults Tailpiece.
Bi-metallic brass heads, reinforced 90 degree bend, harmonic bars & reeds, tone pins, kicker pins, pressure pins,
riveted cover lid, slide-lock mounts, parallel model and the rigid adjustable mounting system.

All these newly developed tailpieces are all Handcrafted to perfection.
Each model is identified by the series of mount you choose.
The "F"series mount is easily installed and adjustable without removing the resonator.
The "XYZ" series mount takes just a few minutes.

The All New Fults Resonator Tri-Brackets

Tri-Brackets keep the resonator and wood rim spacing set at manufactures specs.
*No more bending.
They are stronger and lighter than standard L-Brackets with options of using 2 or 4 mounting holes.
Tri-Brackets are 1 ¼” long and have a formed radius that fits perfectly against the wood rim.
*No holes to drill.

Virtually every L-Bracket bends in a short period of time.
Whether it is a new banjo or famous “Pre-War” the results are the same.
The effective depth of the banjo pot decreases, which changes the banjo’s tone.(it will sound thinner)
Usually less depth causes a decrease of bass response and a tendency of treble frequencies to be emphasized in comparison.

Fults Tri-Brackets are designed for long life and satisfying performance!
The banjo will maintain its tonal character as the manufacture designed it to have.
*Made 100% in USA

*If you use the two additional mounting holes a 1/16”pilot hole is required 5/16” deep.
