The Blue Ridge model:

Head weighs 3.0 ozs. and has a wide variety of vibe tones. It has a thin leaded nose tip for filtering out overtones and a flat spiked head. It has leaded channels on the under side for pulling out that deep rich 4th string. The third string is slotted for quick string replacement. This model was designed for a hard driving banjo and will vibrate the neck of the banjo more, so hang on.. It has a heavy duty vertical strut with 1/8” flat brass pressure pins. The Blue Ridge model has the most precision and rigid mounting system in the 174 year history of the banjo.(See Mounting System) Adjustments can be made simple and easy. The Blue Ridge has optional "Kicker pins" you can incorporate to add mass. We also have several optional "Tone pins" available made from different materials for your experimental use in getting that special sound you have been looking for. (See Blue Ridge Parts)
Please note: This Tailpiece will sound awesome by itself without the use of the optional tone pins and kicker pins. It is a kicker.

Featuring the F20 Geared Mount: Has the slide-lock height adjustment plus an additional twist pre-lock fine adjustment. Height adjustments can be made and locked in place to a fraction of a degree.

(with adjustable leather friction).
This model is great when practicing to a CD, pitch tuning is done very quick & easy.
